Our work within the commercial sectors are largely focused on providing Condition Survey, Tender Package (Design & Specification), Principal Designer and Contract Administration services. Typically we are involved with delivering projects with a contract sum between £50,000 and £10 million.
Principal Designer
As Principal Designer we can develop a full design and specification for repair, refurbishment, alteration and newbuild projects. This will usually include providing a full design package up to RIBA Stage Four that will provide all the necessary information undertake a conventional tender process.
Our specialist sectors are within:
-Education (CIF Bids, LCVAP etc)
- MOD Projects
- Multi- residential
- New build Housing
Contract Administration
Our services as Contract Administrator are usually provided in coordination with being appointed as Principal Designer. While the majority of our work is executed under a traditional contract (such as JCT Minor/Intermediate/Standard Contract 2016) we also carry out construction projects under alternative methods of procurement such as Design and Build Contracts, acting as the Employers Agent or on behalf of the Main Contractor.
Building Surveys
Aquila Architecture thrive on producing accurate surveys that capture not only the existing condition of a property but also provide the Client with a recommended course of action and the potential cost associated with the options available.
Being attentive to the Clients needs
Should the project call for further action (particularly common in repair and refurbishment projects). Our potential roll as Principal Designer and Contract Administrator ensure cost effective solutions due to continuity of maintaining the same consultant throughout the process.
